Every moment's a little bit later...

Does Vanishing Twin Syndrome explain "the void," that inexplicable feeling that something is missing, that there is some unknown out there that you can never find? Does being left-handed mean you originally were part of a mirrored pair, since there is no genetic marker for handedness (is that even true?)? Or is it just a crutch for the myriad psychological problems of the overly-sensitive and high-strung?

I vividly recall one instance when I was small and thinking about existing/not existing in this world, with the distinct sense that there were other places, other planes, where one might exist, and sensing that I wasn't all here or there. I remember being upset by that notion and then tried to wipe it from my mind because it was somehow too painful to even contemplate.

Watching Duncan, I think of that often. Wishing I could understand more of what's going on inside that crazy brain of his.
